Synthetic Motor Oils

Red Line’s synthetic motor oils are designed to provide the highest protection, cleanliness and superior drain intervals with the lowest friction for your gasoline, diesel, motorcycle or marine engine. We use the most stable components available and formulate our products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line's products are unique because they contain polyol ester base stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines. These synthetics have a natural multigrade property which allows our chemists to avoid bulking up an oil with unnecessary additive packages.

5W20
The lightest multigrade street engine oil that we sell. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in many new Ford and Honda passenger cars and light trucks. Excellent performance in weather where cold starting and short running duration are concerns.

5W30
Provides the quickest starts and fastest oil pressure rise. Will reduce turbo lag and provides more power and best economy in an engine in good condition. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in passenger cars and most light trucks, including most new GM cars and trucks. Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. Best choice for engines operated in extreme cold weather.

5W40
Our 5W40 engine oil provides for quicker lubrication and easier start-up. Reduces turbo lag and provides more power and economy in a properly functioning engine, while providing 25% thicker oil films than a petroleum 5W40 or 10W40. Recommended for many late-model European vehicles and as a factory fill replacement in many newer VW, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz applications.

10W30
Best all-weather viscosity grade for gasoline engines in cars and light trucks that are driven on the street on a daily basis. Reduces turbo lag and provides more power and economy while providing thicker bearing oil films at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. Best all-round, synthetic oil for stock or slightly modified engines in high- performance cars that are street-driven. Best choice to replace a 5W-30 or 10W-30, petroleum-based or other-brand synthetic oil if maximum durability is preferred. Acceptable for engines that are occasionally operated in extreme cold weather.

10W40
Best choice for engines that typically run high oil temperature or for engines in daily-driven vehicles regularly operated in hot weather. Great for medium and heavy duty gasoline engines in trucks. Best choice for high-performance engines that see street/strip or track activity. Features a thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petro-based 20W-50.>

15W50
The ultimate high-temperature protection in Red Line engine oils recommended for street use. Good for engines that regularly run very high oil temperatures. Best for engines that run large clearances such as air-cooled engines or large-displacement, all-out racing engines that see occasional street use. Provides 25% more viscosity in bearings than petroleum 20W-50s. Not recommended for use in cold climates where temperatures are at or below 10°F or -12°C. Not recommended for street use in production engines that see sustained oil temperatures below 225°F (those engines should use Red Line 10W-30 or 10W-40).

15W40 Diesel
Highly resistant to thermal breakdown. Provides double the detergent and acid-neutralizing ability of conventional petroleum diesel engine oils for maximum engine cleanliness. Ideal for diesels that run high oil temperature, such as those operated in hot weather or those in light truck applications where heavy loads are carried or towed. Best choice in medium and heavy-duty diesel truck engines when maximum durability is required. When used at extended drain intervals, it is an excellent value for long-haul, fleet use.

20W50
The ultimate high-temperature protection in Red Line engine oils recommended for street use. Good for engines that regularly run very high oil temperatures. Best for engines that run large clearances such as air-cooled engines or large-displacement, all-out racing engines that see occasional street use. Provides 25% more viscosity in bearings than petroleum 20W-50s. Not recommended for use in cold climates where temperatures are at or below 10°F or -12°C. Not recommended for street use in production engines that see sustained oil temperatures below 225°F (those engines should use Red Line 10W-30 or 10W-40).

Synthetic Racing Motor Oils

Red Line’s Racing Oils have a global reputation as the ultimate racing lubricant--many teams who have found that the improved performance and equipment durability is the key to winning. Our oils are made with the most thermally stable synthetic base stocks available and provide the best high-temperature lubrication and a higher film strength than any petroleum or synthetic on the market today. Although Red Line racing oils are categorized as “straight grades”, their low-temperature properties make them exceptional multigrades, allowing 2-4% more power than an oil of similar viscosity, while providing much more protection. Each reduction in viscosity grade allows 1-2% more power. To reduce the chance of detonation, our race oils contain very few detergents and are not recommended for street use.

5 WT SAE (0W5)
Used by top NHRA Stock and Super Stock, and Pro Stock teams looking for an oil with very low viscosity but slightly more durability than other brands at this weight. Available in quart, gallon, five gallon quantities. Drums on request. Red Line also manufactures 2WT for NHRA Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle Oil (1.7W), as used by many of the sport's top teams. Please call (406) 580-0592 to order as these products are not for most sportsman operations or the general public.

10 WT SAE (0W10)
For drag racing and circle track qualifying where the lowest internal friction is desired. Many drag racers run this oil for 10 to 12 passes before changing, with no sign of shear or loss of viscosity.

20 WT SAE (5W20)
For drag racing, circle track qualifying, and racing engines designed for low-viscosity oils. Many drag racers run this oil for 10 to 12 passes before changing, with no sign of shear or loss of viscosity. Popular with bracket racers looking for extra performance.

30 WT SAE (10W30)
Suitable in well-balanced racing engines for sustained high-speed use where low internal friction is desired. Popular in bracket engines, 355 Sprint Car engines, and World of Outlaw 410 engines.

40 WT SAE (15W40)
For use where temperatures may be high and when a wide range in RPMs and speeds will be encountered.

50 WT SAE (15W50)
For use where extremely high temperatures may be encountered and when engine durability is the primary concern.

60 WT SAE (20W60)
For supercharged alcohol engines like NHRA and IHRA Top Alcohol and Pro Modified classes.

70 WT SAE (70)
Used by many of the most successful teams in NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car competition, including Kalitta Motorsports. This oil provides greatly improved piston skirt wear, longer bearing and crankshaft life, and less valvetrain wear.

Synthetic Motorcycle Motor Oils

As part of Red Line’s all-new Powersports line, these High Peformance Motorcycle Oils are fully-synthetic formulas specifically created for the high demands of the latest high-revving four-strokes motocross bikes and ATVs, Sportbikes, and V-Twins. Available in popular viscosities of 10W40, 20W50, and 20W60, these ester-based products contain the anti-wear chemistry demanded by mechanics and enthusiasts. The levels of zinc and phosphorus blended into these lubricants are among the highest in the industry and combine well with Red Line’s chemistry, designed to seal piston rings for more power, fight fuel dilution, extend drain interval and provide stronger film strength over a range of temperature. This oil also features lower levels of friction modifiers for superior wet clutch operation. Excellent thermal stability, oxidation resistance, cleanliness, and ability to lubricate hot metal make Red Line High Performance Motor Oil a superior lubricant. Recommended for JASO MB, API SJ, SG, & SH.
